When my husband was to be discharged from the local hospice we were unable to have the use of a hospital bed.
My family visited the Hastings Mobility Centre and were able to hire a hospital bed and a recliner chair in time for his discharge from the hospice.
The bed made caring for him so much easier and the recliner chair meant he could socialise with friends and family when they came to visit.
We realised we needed hand rails for the shower. There was one in stock and we needed two, so the staff arranged for the other one to come overnight. My husband’s health declined very rapidly and he passed away five days after he came home. The staff in Hastings only charged us for the days we used the bed and chair for which we were very grateful.
It was so nice to be so supported by the staff in the Hastings Mobility Centre.

I visited your Hastings store yesterday regarding a stroller for my mother. Both MJ and Sadie were not only helpful, patient and informative but also went the extra distance to help us to look at a number of other things also. Nothing was a problem for them. We were able to borrow the stroller to take home for the night so the OT could take a look and work through any issues prior to purchase (this was being looked at through hospital as none available there suited). My mother came away with a walking cane and I too look at motorised scooters. I will definitely recommend and come back once I am clearer on my own needs.
You have two amazing staff in these ladies and hope you can feed this back to them on my behalf.

After talking to you on Friday I cancelled the order that I had with another supplier because of their total lack of action. I then placed an order with you on Saturday with the expected delivery of Wed / Thurs or possibly later because of the present situation. We needed a powerful powerchair that would collapse and go in the boot of the car for us to use for traveling. I would like to take this opportunity to say thanks, and recommend the Ergolite wheelchair to any of your customers who are thinking about getting one. The wheelchair has given countless hours of freedom that wouldn’t otherwise be available to Mum. She can come shopping with me and come for walks with us along the harbour and park walkways.  Without the wheelchair, Mum would be confined to the house or the car. Plus, it’s easy to lift into and out of the boot too and I’m only 5 feet tall.

I came in recently to hire a 4” toilet seat riser, and then to return it on 17th of this month.  At the time I was interested and asked after the Toenail Scissors you had on your wall. At this time you had received no feedback on this item, but said they sell well.  I came back in last week and bought the scissors and wanted to let you know some feedback in case anyone asks about them in future. They are great. Can imagine they could be a problem once the blades dull down, but so long as you have a sharpener for them, they would be fine.  I did find that with one angle you do tend to push the blades apart, trying to cut as you normally would. Easily rectified once you realise what you are doing though and you just have to pull slightly on the handles to keep the blades close together and they work well. Hope this is of help at some stage. Thank you for a great product which will be very handy over the coming years.
