- Hypo-allergenic Posture-Temp® is hypo-allergenic, anti-microbial and dust mite resistant. Hypo-allergenic is a term first coined in 1964 by a small cosmetics company based in Hyattsville, Maryland (based on the Greek prefix hypo meaning “below” or “less”), that designates the characteristic of provoking fewer allergic reactions in allergy sufferers, to have a decreased tendency to cause allergies.
- Dust-mite resistant Posture-Temp®’s extremely dense structure makes it extremely difficult for dust mites to nest and feed. Posture-Temp® does not promote dust mite growth because, unlike natural fibres, is not a food source in itself. Many people blame pollen or animals for their asthma and allergy problems, when in reality dust mites are recognized to be the main cause for asthma, chronic Rhinitis (hay fever) and other allergies.
- Bi-elastic two-way stretch waterproof, breathable cover Posture-Temp® comes standard with a welded bi-elastic two-way stretch waterproof breathable cover, designed to reduce shear and friction forces. It is breathable for ventilation, comfort and hygiene. Stain resistant, fire resistant,waterproof, anti-allergenic, antimicrobial, hygienically clean. Further, as the cover is sealed bacteria cannot impregnate the mattress.
- Robust Posture-Temp is robust enough to meet the heavy demands of a modern healthcare service and give excellent clinical performance. Unique squared edges promote the tightest fit in your beds to reduce sheet slippage.
- Concealed zip & welded seams For infection control and to prevent the ingress of bacteria, the zip is covered with a waterproof flap. Hard-wearing durable non-slip mattress base is designed to protect the mattress against metal bed frames and prolong longevity. Cover is resistant to fluid ingress. Two-way stretch waterproof polyurethane cover with high frequency welded seams and a full length flap concealing the zip.
